SISU (Store Integration of Subsystems)
SISU has been developed to meet the requirements of centrally managed stores. SISU acts as a single interface to the host and services all subsystems in a store like POS-registers, scales, wireless devices, shelflabel printers, reverse vending machines etc.
One major advantage of SISU is the fact, that is not required to have a permanent online communication with the host. Data communication will only take place once a day resp. at night time, transferring sales data to the host and item updates to the store.
Standard interfaces to wide spread central systems like SAP Retail or X-Trade are available.
Additional benefits result from the reduction of the total cost of operation since through SISU different store systems can easily be attached to the ERP-system to form a homogeneous network.
The POS-servers that are installed in the store anyhow can be shared by SISU as a hardware platform, so no additional hardware will be required.
