MSS - Controlling Multiple Stores

Companies that operate multiple stores have the necessity for central control and consolidation of the stores.

These tasks can become very cumbersome and time consuming if not supported by intelligent software. With MSS, you can handle a chain of multiple stores as if it were only a single store.

MSS (Multiple Stores System) is the central component that handles the data  transfer between the central host and the stores as well as many other features.

MSS at the central site perfectly matches the SIGMA functions in the stores.

MSS consolidates the data of all stores and generates input for management decisions.

Data maintenance, calculation of sales prices, management of goods received or invoice checking can be handled by central adminstration, since MSS provides the data.

Routine tasks can be automated, thus greatly improving productivity. MSS can also handle so-called virtual stores, in this way the extension of the business with online offerings fits seamlessly into the architecture.

In MSS different store types having different price levels or product assortments can be defined and assembled into store groups. This reduces the complexity of handling different store types to a simple operation.

In this way, an enterprise is very flexible when reacting to local competition.

The way the stores are controlled via MSS can be defined as required by the organisation. Stores can be run as independent profit centers with a large degree of freedom (e.g. price finding) or as tightly coupled units controlled by a headquarter, where prices and assortment are set centrally.

Apart from the downstream part, MSS also can interface to the data provided by the wholesaler or main supplier.

These data can be completed in MSS if necessary and passed on to the stores.
