The functionality of SIGMA includes the entire workflow in a store related to merchandise management.

Realtime stockkeeping in combination with modern POS systems is the prerequisite for efficient workflow management.

The system will optimise the workflows from ordering to sales.  The basic functions can be extended by options like perpetual inventory instead of inventory by targeted date, order proposals that can be changed online at the shelves using wireless PDT's or automated ordering via order plans.

Modular concept

Depending on the needs and size of an enterprise, a customer would start  by introducing SIGMA-scanning,  which allows to attach and service modern POS systems and run a basic merchandise management.This system can be extended by functions like stockkeeping, ordering, goods receiving, perpetual inventory, extended reporting and handling of electronic delivery documents.

Additional costs savings can be realised if the time consuming task of ordering is automated by introducing SIGMA automatic ordering functions, featuring exception management and accurate order proposals.All assortment areas can be selected for automatic ordering, including fresh products and seasonal items.

The system takes into account promotions, holidays and exceptional events. The store management  maintains control over the process and can react any time judged necessary.
